The Machina skid plate for the Ducati Multistrada 950 and Multistrada V2 covers the underside of the Testastretta engine, shielding the sump, oil filter area and lower casings from rocks, ruts and grounding on broken roads. A single hit to an unprotected sump can crack a casing and end a ride far from a service centre.
It is made from black aluminium plate with ventilation slots that let heat escape, and bolts to the bike's existing mounting points under the engine.

Aluminium with a black finish. Aluminium is strong for its weight and does not rust, so it copes with rain, mud and road spray.
It bolts to the Multistrada's mounting points under the engine with basic hand tools. Fit all bolts loosely first, line the plate up, then tighten evenly. Any mechanic can fit it if you'd rather not do it yourself.
Yes. Tall speed breakers, potholes, flying stones and broken ghat roads are exactly what a skid plate is for. It keeps the sump and lower engine of your Multistrada safe from hits that could crack a casing and leave you stranded far from a Ducati service centre.
Check drain-plug and filter access when you first fit the plate. If access is tight on your model, the plate comes off with its mounting bolts in a few minutes for servicing.
