The Machina rear hugger for the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE sits close over the rear tyre and catches the water, mud and stones it throws up before they hit the shock, linkage, underbody and your back. On monsoon roads and dirt trails it keeps the rear suspension cleaner and cuts down on corrosion and wear.
It is made from black plastic, which flexes instead of cracking and does not rust, and bolts to the V-Strom 800 DE's existing mounting points on the swingarm.

Yes. In the monsoon the rear tyre throws water and mud onto the shock, the underbody and your back. The hugger catches that spray, keeping your V-Strom's rear suspension cleaner and cutting down on corrosion.
It is designed to clear the stock tyre through full suspension travel. If you run a larger or knobbly tyre, check clearance with the bike loaded before a long ride.
