Protect your BMW S1000XR with the MACHINA Upper Crash Bar Highway Engine Protective Guard — engineered specifically for the 2024 and 2025 model years. Built from high-strength steel tubing with TIG-welded joints, this full upper crash bar wraps around both sides of the engine and fairing to absorb and redirect impact energy in the event of a tip-over or low-speed fall, shielding the fairings, radiator, and engine cases from costly damage.
The crash bar features a precisely contoured frame that matches the chassis lines of the S1000XR for a factory-integrated appearance. A central cross-brace bridges both sides at the top for maximum rigidity. The included mounting hardware uses OEM frame points — no welding or drilling required. Available in Matte Black powder coat and a raw Silver finish.

High-strength steel tubing with TIG-welded joints. Steel is tough and can often be straightened after an impact instead of cracking.
They bolt to the BMW S 1000 XR's frame mounting points with basic hand tools. Fit all bolts loosely first, align both sides, then tighten evenly. Any workshop can fit them if you'd rather not do it yourself.
Yes. Low-speed tip-overs in traffic, on gravel and on slippery monsoon roads are common in India. Crash bars take that hit instead of the engine casings and bodywork of your BMW S 1000 XR, which are expensive and slow to replace.
Yes. Crash bars protect the sides of the engine and a skid plate protects the underside, so many riders run both. If you already have a non-Machina skid plate, send us a photo on WhatsApp to check for clashes.
